Because having anxiety attacks due to overwhelm and frustration is NOT anybody's idea of a good time; believe me!

We hear the words "self-care" A LOT these days.  But what do they mean to you?  I used to think going to get a mani/pedi and taking the evening to myself to soak in a bubble bath without little fingers coming from under the door; but now I have a different view.

Now my view includes both my mental and physical health; of course shopping at Target and screaming on the sideline add to those life joys, but it doesn’t complete them.

I realized that we, as busy moms, need to figure out where we stand with self-care, and what better tool than a wellness assessment to help us with that!

So I created one, with the help of a little research of course…

The whole purpose behind it… to empower you as a busy sports mom to live your best life!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the assessment (don’t worry, it’s a fill-able document, so you don’t have to print it out if you don’t want to).

  2. Answer all the questions for each of the seven wellness dimensions.

  3. Tally your points for each section and use the guide to interpret your scores.

  4. Develop an Action Plan for those areas in which you scored lower (this will help you in moving forward to ensure your wellness will not interfere with your performance).

  5. If you’re feeling empowered, and you don’t mind sharing, (and I hope you are!), post your SMART Goal in our FB Group - Sideline Hackers.

The topic of self-care is one that is near and dear to my heart. I talked about the experience I shared with a close friend is this episode on the podcast. Which led to me paying closer attention to my own well-being, and reminding busy mama’s like me to do the same.

So please, take 15 minutes and do the assessment. If nothing else, just learn where you stand, so you know what you can do to improve!
