I used to consider myself a bookworm. As a teenager a could sit in my room for hours glued to the pages of a good novel (of course when I wasn't chasing after @alvarado_express84 ) 🐛 But as I've gotten older, and more busy with family life, work, and the sideline, I've had less and less time to read.... or so I thought! 📚 Fact is, every day that you open your eyes, is another gift to improve your life and make an impact on the world. So we like to spend as much time together as possible; and one of our favorite ways to do that is to watch movies...⠀ 🎬⠀ Mike even carved out a spot in the basement to build us a little theater... you can see it if you check out his feed (@alvarado_express84)⠀ 🎬⠀ But so this past week two newer movies were on the docket... The Predator and Night School (yup, the one with @Kevinhart4real)⠀ 😱⠀ Yea, we're a little slow... #judgementfreezone... both of these movies have been out for a while now; but it's my fault... because I have been terrified to watch Night School ever since I saw the previews...⠀ 😳 ⠀ You might think that should be the other way around, but just hear me out. You see that's what I do for a living. I manage Adult Education programs throughout the Capital Region of Virginia.⠀ 🏫⠀ So naturally I was scared of how they would portray the teacher, especially with @tifffanyhaddish leading the class; and that's no shade to Tiffany!! She's hilarious!!! But I just didn't want people thinking that ALL classes were so crazy!⠀ 😜⠀ In the end I was very thankful and applaud the movie! One of our biggest missions is to help take the stigma away from getting your GED. And true to form, the test is hard; but it's doable... for everybody!
